Short Q&A

Is there a podcast you’ve been featured on that you enjoyed and would like to share?

Not long ago, I had a great conversation on the MindBodyGreen podcast.

Is there a podcast episode you’ve listened to and enjoyed?

There was an episode of the Reimagining Love podcast that I really enjoyed, called Midlife Transitions: How to lean in rather than resist the messy middle. It’s a conversation with Chip Conley. While it’s a relationship podcast, this one focuses on who you are as a person, which goes back to what you touched on about people waking up and asking, Who am I? (Read Chip’s article in this issue of InHabit)

Is there a book you’re enjoying right now?

Yung Pueblo’s Lighter: Let Go of the Past, Connect with the Present, and Expand the Future.

What about a movie or TV show?

I don’t really watch TV or movies. I don’t have time! But I can read and listen to a podcast as I'm moving about.

Do you listen to audiobooks?

No, I actually like paper — I like to feel the pages.

Now, music. Is there a song that captures your current mood that you love?

Yes! These days I’m jamming to “Marching Band” by Yussef Dayes featuring Masego.

Coffee or tea?

Oh coffee! Though, I'm still Canadian and I grew up on tea - black tea with milk and sugar.

Sunrise or sunset?

You know, I really do think I would go with a sunrise. It's a moment where I get to acknowledge that a new day is here and I get to say hello to the sun.

Mountains or ocean?

Oh, ocean. Catch me on a beach any day.

Do you have a go-to comfort food?

Oh, this is a good one. Well, especially since I'm Canadian, I think I'll throw a nod to Jamaican food. My heritage.

If you had to enter a dance competition, what song would you dance to?

If I had to go into a dance competition [laughs], I would definitely do “Poison” by Bel Biv DeVoe. Because any time that song comes on, I'm like, I have a dance routine that no one's seen and someone's gotta see it!
